Manor House Farm, once a dairy farm is now arable, producing wheat, barley and oil seed rape.
We have no on site bar/shop or childrens play equipement. Instead we offer peace, tranquillity & space, set within the North Yorkshire Moors National Park high on the cliff tops. You will pprobably share your pitch with our "girls", hens who just love new arrivals . In exchange for a few crumbs or a bit of attention they will produce the yellowist eggs, ready for breakfast.
All within a yorkshire mile of the famous Whitby Abbey
We are open March to October for tourers and seasonal pitches. We do not accept dogs on the site.
The village of Hawsker is a short walk away either by public footpath or road. The public footpath is by far the most interesting route, taking in amazing views of the coast and moors hawsker is home to the Hare and Hounds pub which serves far better than average food.
The local bus service into Whitby, or to Scarborough (via Robin Hood's Bay), can also be caught from the village.
At the end of Hawsker Lane, at the Abbey is a large pay and display carpark, ideal if you want to explore the town.
The Cinder Track also runs close by offering a traffic free bike ride/walk to either Whitby or Robin Hoods Bay.
We are located within minuets of the Cleveland Way, stretching north towards & beyond Whitby, and south towards Robin Hood's Bay.
We are also very close to the Cinder Track - a disued railway path which runs from Whitby to Scarborough. The Cinder Track is perfect for walking and cycling, and easier going than the cliff path!
Bikes are available locally to hire, inclding ones specially adapted to family needs.
